History of The Angry Mime

Originally The Angry Mime was started in 2000 in a small warehouse space in Newstead. Back then as now it was a performance space for various disciplines including clown, mask, dance, vaudeville, puppetry and anything experimental. The original Angry Mime was founded by Andrew Cory, Tony Kishawi, Julieanne Hanson and Nigel Pearn. After the first year the performance night moved to Brisbane Powerhouse where it ran for 5 years as a monthly event in the Stores Building. During that time a number of people came on board as organisers and significant helpers. They are: Darryl Rosin, Dan Johnson, Aaron Veryard, Dan Eady and Trent Baumann.

But then we went away.
